Project NOW Inc., Community Action Agency, serves Rock Island, Henry and Mercer counties in Illinois.
Since 1968 we have helped families with low incomes and seniors meet basic needs and improve their standard of living.

Geneseo Park District
The Geneseo Park District offers a variety of recreational activities for all ages such as youth and adult sports leagues, fitness and aquatics programs, pickleball, gymnastics, roller-skating, tae kwon do, preschool programs, and summer camps.  Plus a Community Center, Aquatic Center, Athletic Field and Anderson Memorial Park to provide a positive recreational experience for you and your family.  Find more information at www.GeneseoParkDistrict.org.

Geneseo Food Pantry
Our Mission
The Christian mission of the Geneseo Food Pantry is to provide food, clothing and short-term emergency assistance for families and individuals residing in Geneseo (61254) or Atkinson (61235) zip code areas.

This Christian mission includes responding to local needs and assisting in the development and maintenance of individuals and families to enable them to be functional, effective and healthy.

Spiritual needs will be recognized and addressed in cooperation with the Geneseo Ministerial Association (GMA).

Our History
– Established as community ministry at Grace United Methodist Church in January, 1982
– Moved to First Presbyterian Church in August, 1983
– Moved to current facility, purchased by the Geneseo Ministerial Association in May, 1989
– Current building occupants in addition to the Geneseo Food Pantry include:
– Children’s Therapy Center, Outreach Office
– University of Illinois Extension Office Representative

Freedom House
Freedom House offers domestic violence and sexual assault services to the counties of Bureau, Putnam, Henry and Stark counties.  These services include emergency shelter, transitional housing, therapy/counseling, legal advocacy, support groups for adults and children, a 24 hour hotline and prevention education.  Those seeking services can call Freedom House at 1-800-474-6031 or visit their website at freedomhouseillinois.org.
